Registry

In anticipation for baby's arrival, we have spent some time curating a list of items we anticipate will be well appreciated during baby's first year. If you would like to contribute, please review the lists, below through 2 different retailers. Please note that we have intentionally registered for "duplicate" items by nature of offering them through both retailers. We felt it would be easier to mark the items as purchased, ourselves, or conduct a return, rather than trying to decide which retailer folks prefer to frequent. If you select an item through one and would like to mark as purchased on the other, feel free to do so.

Please know that we are surprise loving people. Adding many of these items felt very peculiar since we would be just as happy with many of the options on the market or even a previously loved item from a friend or family member. Should you prefer to gift outside of this list, please know that your thoughtfulness will be well received and greatly appreciated.

Walmart

UPDATE: Walmart's website promises that they make it easy to see who purchased what. After several customer service conversations, we have discovered that this is unfortunately not a truthful statement. They do not provide a note with shipments, indicating the senders, nor do they provide a place within the website to review the sender's name. At this point, we would discourage you from ordering through this site unless you also send us an email letting us know what's headed our way, so that we can extend our appreciation. If you have already made a purchase, we would welcome the opportunity to thank you for your generosity.

Current Standings

We have been exceptionally blessed to be showered with gifts from friends and family, despite the crazy circumstances we currently find ourselves in. As our due date approaches, we understand that a few folks would like to make sure we have everything we need for baby's arrival. We have done our best to ensure that the registry websites remain updated regarding which items have been purchased or not. If you are curious about a particular item, please feel free to reach out. We would welcome the opportunity to chat with you. We also put together a bullet point list, below to indicate which items we have already received, to give you an idea of what we currently have on hand.

Week 34 - Home is where Family is

This week, we eagerly prepared for a celebration. With great excitement, we welcomed our parents and sibling to our home to celebrate: * Independence Day * Kiersten's MBA Graduation * 1 Year Wedding Anniversary * The completed decoration of our home! In the final days leading up to this special occasion, we put the finishing touches on our home, becoming experts at measuring and hanging wall art - something our house has been desperately missing for way too long! Believe it or not, we signed the mortgage on this little place in November of 2018. So, the walls have been in desperate need of some personality. In much thanks to the generosity of our family and friends, we were able to fill it with several meaningful items, as well as a few selections of our own. It brought us great pride to show off our finished space to our immediate family. We have taken the time during quarantine to truly knock items off our project list and make this little house our own.

Week 32 - Worries and Wonders

The discernment for baby names continues. We would really like to take inspiration from the saints in naming our children. How cool would it be to read a story about a superhero and think "hey, that's my name?" How much cooler to know that the superhero was a real life person that did amazing things as a child of God? We hope that these amazing role models will inspire our children, through a variety of ways. In the meantime, we are actively searching through saint stories and feast days, hunting for just the right ones. We are cutting it pretty close to the end! It is a much more difficult challenge than we anticipated - who knew we had so many opinions? This week, the reality of our timeline is becoming increasingly apparent. We are just 6-10 weeks away from meeting our little one. This is extremely exciting but also very scary. In the midst of a pandemic, we don't have the option of attending a child-birth class or touring the hospital where we will labor and ...

Week 24 - Nesting

No, we aren't referring to the bird's nest crazy that's Kiersten's hair. That's just the result of several weeks of quarantine aligned with 24 weeks of pregnancy. We have begun a pretty serious nesting stage. This week, Kiersten loaded and unloaded the dishwasher 3 times in one day. She voluntarily vacuums and dusts the house, something our home in Adrian sorely needs by now, but we still remain at the Hitchingham Hostel. The other residents have grown accustomed to her cleaning frenzies and pitch in as needed to keep her crazy to a minimum. The nesting would be much better used in Adrian, as a nursery is completely non-existent at the moment. Don't worry, Kiersten has been pinteresting for months, and we started a registry a while ago, but nothing had been purchased when this week began. On Friday, we finally got back to the house to spend some quality time preparing for baby's arrival. We cleaned out the 2nd bedroom and made way in the living room...
