Week 7 - The Big Reveal!

Christmas Presents Wallpapers - Top Free Christmas Presents ...

We consider ourselves blessed to be gifted with this pregnancy. Despite ongoing morning sickness, we are exceptionally grateful to know God has trusted us with this child. Pregnancy is a unique subject, intertwined with a variety of emotions for people. While we received our positive result with joy, many are overwhelmed with fear by theirs, while many others are overcome with despair as they receive negative after negative. As we made plans to share our news with our family members, we knew it was essential to keep this emotional spectrum in mind. We spent a lot of time in prayer and discernment as we considered each individual member of our family.

We were doubly blessed with the opportunity to use Christmas as a way to sneak in some adorable announcement gifts without raising too much suspicion. We're pretty sure we gave ourselves away in a few cases, but the love we received far outweighed any concern that a surprise might have been lost. It was extremely stressful hanging on with so much anticipation. As the clock ticked down the seconds before each moment of realization, Kiersten's blood pounded through her veins - you would have thought we were strapping into our seats on the top thrill Dragster!

Each family member responded in their own, individual way, but the overwhelming response was that of love and excitement. The emotions in each exchange weighed heavily on us. There is no doubt this child will be well loved by all of their aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Week 34 - Home is where Family is

This week, we eagerly prepared for a celebration. With great excitement, we welcomed our parents and sibling to our home to celebrate: * Independence Day * Kiersten's MBA Graduation * 1 Year Wedding Anniversary * The completed decoration of our home! In the final days leading up to this special occasion, we put the finishing touches on our home, becoming experts at measuring and hanging wall art - something our house has been desperately missing for way too long! Believe it or not, we signed the mortgage on this little place in November of 2018. So, the walls have been in desperate need of some personality. In much thanks to the generosity of our family and friends, we were able to fill it with several meaningful items, as well as a few selections of our own. It brought us great pride to show off our finished space to our immediate family. We have taken the time during quarantine to truly knock items off our project list and make this little house our own.

Week 36 - Maternity Photos

This week was a mixed bag of emotions. Over the course of the holiday weekend, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and visit from our favorite photographers to snap some maternity photos. This week, we took the time to review and selected some of our favorites for you to enjoy. Photos were hard for Kiersten - this pregnancy has brought a lot of weight gain which is hard for her to ignore when she sees photos of herself. You may have noticed that the bump pictures quickly disappeared a few weeks ago. Its been difficult for her to get excited about documenting these changes. However, we knew we would regret not making the effort. So, we put on clothes that make us feel good, armed ourselves with some of our biggest cheerleaders and took some pretty great photos. This week also brought about some very difficult decisions. As we have maneuvered the past several months, the global pandemic has had a profound impact on this pregnancy in ways we never cou...
